Week 6

What comes first, the coop or the chicks?? Oh yes, we're going the distance for this passion and interest. Some, okay many, people have told us we are crazy. They are just  chickens;to us they are not. And while we are building the Magic Kingdom of Chickenland, we are learning a lot along the way.  Don't believe us, then listen to the chicks.  The task is easier if you have the right tools. Marigold on the favorite perch Verbena looking on says, I know that's right. When you've tried something once, it is easier the second time. Verbena makes the leap When it is raining and raining (all week people!), it is best to just sit tight. Daisy waits and waits When it keeps on raining, try new things. Week 5

Which comes first, the chicks or the coop?? Advice to all chick-admirers, build the coop first and the chicks will come.  Build it and they will come. Or at the very least, the chicks will get bigger. They will grow faster than you, your husband, your dad, and your good friend, Jodi, can build the coop. I think it is necessary to mention that while Scott and I are procrastinators, we started on the coop weeks, eh months ago. It is just taking a really long time to finish. The chicks continue to out grow our porch. They are flying onto anything that can be made into a perch. Lily on my bench Violet on the edge of the divider And now on my back! So that's the chick news. And here the coop sits, now with a roof.
